PAX Good Behavior Game for Teachers

The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board hosted another PAX Good Behavior Game for over 30 teachers this month. The PAX Good Behavior Game builds self-regulation in young people by creating shared relational frames with adults and peers.

It reinforces desirable behaviors and inhibits unwanted ones. Children then develop the ability to delay gratification and reduce impulsivity. This increase in pro-social behavior and self-regulation paves the way for better academic, behavioral, and life outcomes. PAX also develops peer networks to improve relationships now and in the future.

The Mental Health & Recovery Services Board funds PAX Partners in partnership with SAFY. Robin Timpe and Christine Pack are SAFY’s trained PAX Partners. PAX Partners provide coaching and support training to teachers that will guide PAX Good Behavior Game implementation in the schools. We have trained over 600 teachers in PAX in Allen, Auglaize, and Hardin counties.
