Specialized Alternatives for Families and Youth (SAFY) of America is a leading national nonprofit organization providing a full continuum of services for youth in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems. Founded in 1984, SAFY provides nationally-recognized family and children services in 28 offices across eight states including Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas and Nevada.
Offering a broad range of programming from early intervention and prevention and home-based or community- based interventions to out-of-home placements, and reunification and aftercare services for more than 9,098 difficult-to-place dependent children and children at risk, SAFY’s comprehensive services include treatment foster care, adoption, emergency and runaway services, mental health services, in-home services, independent living, developmental disabilities services, juvenile offender programs, aftercare, special medical services and teen parent programs.
